- Pallet wood pellets are made from recycled wood, mainly from used shipping pallets. - With a high fiber content (~70%), these pellets ignite easily, burn evenly with little smoke, and give off a pleasant natural wood aroma. - These eco-friendly biomass fuels offer long-lasting combustion, making them ideal for both industrial and domestic boiler systems.

What are pallet wood pellets?

- During the compression process, natural lignin in the wood binds the particles together, resulting in smooth and solid pellets.

- Pallet wood pellets are biomass fuel made from recycled wood pallets—commonly used in logistics and packaging. These used pallets are collected, cleaned, shredded into wood chips, then compressed into pellets without the need for chemical binders.

- Basic characteristics of pallet wood pellets:

- Pellet diameter: From 6 - 12 mm, most commonly 8 mm.

- Pellet length: From 10 - 40 mm.

- Moisture content: Max 8%.

- Ash content: < 1.5%.

- Calorific value: 4000 - 4700 Kcal/kg.

Efficiency of pallet wood pellets:
Compared to oil or gas, pallet wood pellets are much more cost-effective. For instance, a 12kg gas tank may cost around 500,000 VND, but with wood pellets, only 150,000 - 200,000 VND is needed to generate the same heat.

Agricultural applications:
Pallet wood pellets absorb moisture well, making them effective bedding in poultry, pig, and goat farms. The remaining ash can be mixed with manure to create quality organic fertilizer, reducing the need for harmful chemical fertilizers.

Heating use:
Using pallet wood pellets in fireplaces produces stable and clean heat with minimal smoke and ash, making it labor-saving and safer for health.

Industrial and residential applications:
Pallet pellets are used in boilers for wood drying, textile dyeing, industrial laundry, etc. Compared to coal or DO oil, they are cleaner, cheaper, and their ash can be reused in agriculture, solving environmental issues effectively.

Some examples of industries using mixed wood pellets are:

  • Industrial laundries, garment factories.
  • Providing heat for steaming, drying, sterilization, and disinfection systems in food processing companies.
  • Wood drying factories, animal feed drying factories.
  • Providing heat for sauna systems, hot water tanks in residential areas.
